Quality and Sustainability

Detailed information about the labels and standards of an individual product can be found in the product description. The product description is available on each product page.

All products are made from either organic materials (organic cotton) or recycled polyester. The standards applied in production (e.g., agriculture) and the use of materials for processing the clothing can be discovered by researching the labels on the garments.

You can also find more information on this topic in my post “Sustainability & Quality.”

Ethical production involves various aspects depending on the label. In the case of the “Fair Wear Foundation,” whose label you can find on many garments in this shop, 8 aspects of production are considered (such as no child labor, fair wages, reasonable working hours). More information about the Fair Wear Foundation can be found in this video: The Fair Wear Formula.

At FlowSoul, Slow Fashion means that each product is custom printed and prepared for delivery upon receiving an order. For example, we do not create 1000 pre-orders per product and then potentially discard the products due to lack of incoming orders.

In short, Slow Fashion leads to reduced waste in the textile industry due to the individual production for each order.

The products here are slightly more expensive than in other clothing stores because each product is made from high-quality materials sourced from organic farming. The printing technique used (digital printing) with water-based inks is also of high quality. So, while you might pay a bit more in the shop, you are getting a product that will last you a long time, and you won’t need to buy new clothes again next year or even in a few months.

You can find more reasons why clothing at FlowLife costs a bit more in the “Sustainability & Quality” report.

Like almost every traded textile product, FlowSoul´s products come from Asia. The textiles here are mainly produced in Bangladesh. Unfortunately, it’s the case that almost every textile factory has established itself there.

However, in the factories where FlowSoul´s textile products are manufactured, fair working conditions are maintained and regularly checked for compliance.

The products are printed in France at an environmentally friendly textile printing facility.
